With complaints ranging from greasy food and poor quality to slow service and untested dishes, it seems the restaurant is no longer living up to expectations. Some diners enjoyed select items but overall, the experience was deemed average at best. However, some visitors praise the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. I used to go often but my last two experiences have made me never want to go back. -one visit: found a large black bug crawling around on my table. Yuck. Thought I'd give the benefit of the doubt and go again...-next visit: something tasted "off" near the end of my meal I realized it was the soya sauce. When I told the server something was wrong with it... they all tried it and agreed with me. They brought me fresh soya. And explained... "SOMETIMES GUESTS DUMP OLD FOOD IN THE SOYA JARS TO GET RID OF IT" disgusting. They leave the jars on the table and I was eating someone's garbage food from before me. They guessed it was teriyaki sauce. I felt like throwing up. I complained. Got zero compensation. I WILL NEVER GO BACK.
Food was pathetic. Sushi was warm like it was sitting out for hours.All the hot items were overcooked with no taste again. The food wasn't seasoned at all.The service was very poor. The Japanese condiments were brought to the table 10 mins after the food came. Half our order didn't even come after repeatedly telling them.It was the longest I have waited for food and all that was for nothing.The bathrooms are super dingy with poor hygiene standards. DO NOT GO!!
So much fun for a night out! Great trying little dishes of everything. Hot, really fresh, lovely server. Delicious adventure!
I order takeout from here religiously But won't be going back .. called for 30 minutes straight for takeout .. line was busy or off the hook who knows...
