I had a really great time at this hotel. With bowling, an arcade, a swimming pool and a great restaurant, what’s not to like? The rooms are comfortable and spacious. I really loved the bathroom. It was clean and had great mood lighting. Soap was good too. The room decor is simple and sleek. The phone in the room even has a “Pizza” button!! How awesome is that!? However I will note that the pillows are terrible and you may want to pack your own. The pull out couch is very uncomfortable so I would suggest packing some extra cushioning or even a sleeping bag. The restaurant was very good and the menu offered some great items, making it hard to choose. I did notice that the staff were a bit “new” or flustered and at times slow. They seemed unsure of what they were doing at times. Luckily the manager was very attentive and caring and was often seen swooping in to save the day and rescue his staff. Cheers to that guy! The arcade was a lot of fun and offered a great variety of games for both young and old. It even had an Aliens game. So look out kids, daddy’s gonna sneak away for a quick bug hunt!! “Anytime, anywhere” Everything is conveniently located within the hotel making this the perfect stay for friends or family and a laid-back relaxing holiday.
Great place with lots of amenities around. Rooms are very clean. Bowling alley tied into the hotel which broke up the week at the end of a work day. Was here for work for one week and would stay here again!!! Lots of parking. Never ate at the cafe inside but looks like a good place to eat at.
Two seniors in a frigid room with thermostat on high….cold air blowing out of unit. Still awake at one a.m. given second room, no heat, given a portable heater. Kept clothes on and slept one hour. Manager totally indifferent. What happened to compassion, or is it all about business?
Formerly a unbranded hotel, but a St. Catharines fixture for many years, this property remains a premium location for hotel accommodation in the city. Excellent rooms, pleasant and helpful staff and a 'homey ' sort of feel, although we were upgraded to a suite on an executive floor because of IHG status. Especially recommended for weekday stays, as it is a favourite weekend stay spot for sports teams and can get a little more raucous on the weekends
