We sat on the porch and had a delicious l... read more This is what Florida is really about. The Commanders looks like a very casual roadside diner with a wrap around porch. We sat on the porch and had a delicious lunch: A shrimp sandwich and a catch of the day--Mahi Mahi entree. Both were perfectly cooked. The location is close to the bay and the ocean...we genuinely felt ocean breezes wafting through while we ate. Afterwards we discovered the clam farm which is part of Commanders. they raise shellfish right there--and Mangrove trees too. Very interesting.
