Came at the end of the night and ordered fried rice, chicken with noodles, Orange chicken and broccoli beef. Dishes were well received by my 4 kids (all under 10 yrs old). Pleasant and fast. Get the hot oil if you want spicier. View all feedback.
What Orin Hettinger doesn't like about Far East Restaurant:
We had been to this restaurant many years ago and thought it would be fun to go again. We asked that no MSG be used. But it definitely was. Both my husband and I had terrible sleep disturbances that night -- the only time on our entire trip. We know from experience that MSG was the cause. The food was tasty but the white wine was served at room temperature. View all feedback.
My partner and I have been in Newfoundland for many years. We were thrilled to be able to dine out again after the COVID closures. We live halfway between NYC and Philadelphia and have enjoyed many excellent Chinese restaurants at home. This restaurant is on par with them. The wait staff was friendly and the service was quick. Before we knew it, our food arrived. I had the gu seei foo yong and my partner had the pork fried rice. The portions were generous, so we left satisfied and full. Thank you for a delicious meal.
On a very windy, cold, and rainy day in St. Anthony, we decided to get takeout from this restaurant and bring it back to our hotel. We ordered BBQ pork with a sweet and sour sauce, beef noodle soup, and two spring rolls. Everything was delicious. When we asked our server about chow, she explained that it was made with cauliflower instead of noodles. Since we didn't want that, she recommended the beef noodle soup instead. She also provided us with paper plates, cutlery, and napkins since we were eating in our hotel room. The service was quick and attentive, and the food was hot. The prices were reasonable, and we enjoyed our meal so much that we would definitely go back.
After enjoying a fantastic 2-day trip on the beautiful Great Northern Peninsula, we were in search of a good restaurant. We decided to try the Far East and were not disappointed - the food was amazing! We would definitely return in the future.
I had an access to early roll it was nuts.i loved the kisses and the chows are my favorites. would be eating earlylingsrolls and rice again.
After 3 weeks traveling around Newfoundland we had eaten so much seafood I think we were growing gills. On a whim we decided to try this little Chinese Food restaurant. The buffet is small but the food is fresh. The food is prepared in small...batches so is quickly refreshed as the food is eaten. The dishes were delicious and a welcome change from fish and chips.
