First time here and it was great! Really nice server and cute interior patio. Unique menu with super delicious pizza (so many options including normal crust, thin crust, gluten free crust, and vegetarian stuff). I also tried the red pepper and jalepeño calimari, which was really tasty! Decent music playing from inside that drifted out to the patio. Nice location on Jasper Ave, kind of around the corner, not facing th... View all feedback.
What Ryan H doesn't like about Rouge Lounge:
The Pizza was good but not $60 good for two 12 pies. I bet if they offered their Pizza at a more reasonable price, they would get a lot more business. To dine in is a little on the rough side, it's kind of a mix between a 90's Night at the Roxbury and a dark hole in the wall. The cost of the pizza should be enought to spruce the place up! The pizza was good. Probably a 4/5 if my review and the restaurant was judged solely on that. That being said the pizza was the only positive. The service at the time I went was the worst I had ever encountered. Waiting 10 minutes before seeing the server come to our table, 40 minute wait for our pizza after we ordered, and waiting another 20 minutes after we were clearly finished just makes for a excruciating long wait. I don't blame it on the server, she was clearly overmatched and the restaurant was understaffed. Nonetheless, unacceptable experience for a customer. My recommendation is to order take out if you wish to try the pizza.
People weren't lying about this pizza hot spot. Some of the best I've had in Etown! I lived downtown for a few years and never checked it out. Leave it to me to move and finally try it when I don't live here anymore. Excellent crust, sauce and cheese. Not a huge fan of the way a lot of Alberta's pepperoni is, the big sliced kind, but it was still great all the same. Tasty pizza and so good we ate too much. Lol Our server was awesome. She was from England and was an all around good server. After reading a few reviews here about this place and the service not being great, I guess it just really depends because our service was perfect. Patient and attentive. Kudos, Rose Bowl! Thanks for the pizza! I'll definitely be back.
Serving the oh-so-tasty Rose Bowl pizza! Have the Chef's Mistake.
I have been coming to Rose Bowl for at least 10 years now. It is the best pizza I've ever had in Edmonton. This is not your thin crust, fancy topping pizza (like at Famoso). This is good ol' fashioned PIZZA!!! Thick crust, cheesy, full of toppings. In addition to the pizza, the wings are THE BEST!! The pizza can take quite a while to come... 45 minutes or so, so make sure you're with a good group of people to have fun with. Or else, just order take out! One of Edmonton's hidden gems for sure.
