Get the Pizza. I have eaten from this restaurant since it opened in the mid 70's. I think that the current interior has at least one artifact from every decade since. If anyone can give the interior motif(s) a collective label, then you will have solved a puzzling array that has stumped decorating aficionados for years. I found the service very friendly, but slow. But over the course of four decades, I have never bee... View all feedback.
What S doesn't like about Grub Med Greek:
I've been here a handful of times because I live in the area. Some dishes are great while others are very poor. Their chicken is consistently over cooked and dry. Prices are definitely too high for what you get. Yianni's on Whyte Ave is much better. View all feedback.
Do not miss this place. Not that great food or service...rather indifferent

My husband and I went to Grub Med for the first time. First of all, the restaurant is in a strip mall so it doesn't have much curb appeal. Upon entering though there is much more ambiance (with the exception of the dead bride sitting up on the balcony go, you'll know what I mean!!!! We ordered the dinner for two. First course was greek salad, pita and dips. The salad could have used some more red onion (we saw two pieces but otherwise was good and had lots of feta. The pita and dips were great. Second course was spanakopita, tzatziki, keftedes and dolmades. The keftedes and tzatziki were the best I've ever had so good!!! The dolmades were okay but certainly not great. Syrtaki's had the best dolmades in my opinion with the right lemon sauce. I can't believe they've closed down. Anyways, the spanakopita was good as well. By the time the third course arrived we were stuffed. It was lamb, chicken, lemon potatoes and veggies. The lamb and chicken was great. The potatoes weren't as good as other greek restuarants I've tried. Big pieces with not the nice crust and lemon flavour I'm used to. We brought a ton of food home with us. Our bill with tip came to just under $100 (with a half litre of wine . I love greek food but my husband is more picky. It's close to our house so if we had out of town guests that wanted greek food we would definitely go there. I also would definitely return to get the keftedes for take out. Otherwise, despite the fact it was overall really good we probably won't return just because it's not my husband's favorite type of food.
Don't go, over priced and mediocre. Dirty menu's, indifferent service and small expensive portions. We shared two appies and went elsewhere for mains. Sad state.
