It was ok, the quality certainly wasn 't much to brag about, but the SERVICE was excellent. It said on the counter, If you experience good customer service, let us know at blahblah email . So I did. Jessica was that great. View all feedback.
What Jenn C doesn't like about Fuss Cupcakes:
I did not like the cupcakes from this location (which I think is where the pizza/donair place used to be, the one with a turtle as the logo? . I found the cake to be dry and dense, and the icing thick and kind of oily. Not buttery, oily. It tasted like a commercial cookie-cutter cupcake and not a homemade one. To be fair they have a lot of creative flavours, like pear, and earl grey tea (we bought the 12-pack assorte... View all feedback.
Just had the Scarlet O'Hara and the cupcake itself was so perfectly moist that it rocked my world. The icing however... Sigh... I appreciate that it's not overly sweet but there is something seriously lacking in it. I question if it's being made with butter or crisco? And didn't really taste like a cream cheese icing. So close Fuss Cupcakes, so close.
The tall blonde guy at the counter was extremely rude. I advised him, after rudely interrupting my conversation with a friend that he shouldn 't ever interrupt someone 's conversation. He just rolled his eyes and said 'ya ' Waste of money buying here. Being treated so terribly by every employee, any time I 've gone is starting to get old very quickly. Great cupcakes, terrible employees.
Dropped in to grab a couple cupcakes to try for the first time from here and it will be the last time. Their cupcakes are dry and bland. I like my cupcakes moist, rich, and melt in your mouth but these cupcakes were far from this.
I was pet sitting for someone who lives just off Whyte today and I figured since I was in the neighborhood anyways I would stop in and grab myself a Valentines day treat. It's a nice clean looking store with lots of seating so I figured I mine as well take it to stay. I don't think these guys have WiFi so that might have been why it was so easy for me to get a seat despite it being so busy on the ave today. For some this might be annoying but I carry data on my phone and hate fighting people who buy one coffee and sit at a cafe all day with their laptops for a place to sit so this suited me just fine. The staff were nice and they had their cases full today with a good range of flavors but the price was a bit of a shocker for me when I got to the till. The girl who rang me in quickly gave me a spiel about how Valentines cupcakes were more expensive because it takes the bakers longer to make the handmade decorations on top but she will give me a little bit of a discount. I found it a little bit confusing especially since the only decoration on my cupcake was an XO written in dark purple frosting. The cupcake itself was pretty good. The frosting isn't overly sweet and the cake was nice and fluffy. If I was in the neighborhood I would probably go back but I honestly wouldn't go out of my way for it as im not a cupcake fanatic. If you love cupcakes however I don't think you would leave here disappointed.

Maybe I just got a bad batch... One other positive thing is that they are open on Mondays, when many other cupcake joints are closed. If you are desperate to satisfy the cupcake craving, then this place will do.
