The best donair in St. Albert! Been going here for years, they always give you huge portions and are very laid back. The name says it all, simply donairs! Their donair poutine is amazing too, be warned their portions are seriously huge ! View all feedback.
What Gill Wood doesn't like about Simply Donairs:
Usually the only place I trust given I don’t order donairs often, however found a hair in one today that was definitely not from my own household. Extremely disappointing. View all feedback.

Very disappointed with customer service and experience. My wife and I waited all evening to try Simply Donair. It was recommended to us and we rushed over there on a Friday night. Got there 12 minutes before closing. Staff were still there and standing at the till and the grill. But they had the door locked. I looked at the staff and they just had a blank look on their faces. I looked my watch and they still just stared. No explanation or apologies. I think it is very unprofessional to close your doors before your scheduled closing time. And with no regard for what they did. I will try Simply Donair again but never at that location. If they cannot respect their customers, they don’t deserve my business.
Excellent tasting food with great portions for good prices.
Ordered through Skip which can be hit or miss depending on the day (or staff?)Anyway, there 's no option to buy extra sweet sauce on the app (would gladly pay for the option) so we 're reduced to begging for it in the notes section of the order item.On a large beef donair I had delivered tonight (with a polite request for extra sweet sauce), I 'd be amazed if there was more that 2 measly tablespoons of sweet sauce on the entire donair. Seriously? The extra sauce can be a saving grace especially when the donair itself was not prepared properly, which is another issue:They need to actually *steam their pita bread* before adding the meat, toppings etc. More often than not it comes dry and brittle and makes it an even bigger chore to eat. The donair meat also looks like it was carved off the spit at least an hour previous to the quick fry on the grill (if they even did that, which I doubt) before adding to the pita. This used to be a decent place that had donairs comparable to the east coast ones that they copy.Don 't try and fool us. We *know* how they should be prepared, and frankly this isn 't cutting it anymore. Do better.
We always order here in person. It’s been great every time. It was our favourite donair place. NOT ANYMORE. Ordered an Uber eats yesterday to be sent to my friend’s house for 2 LARGE donairs and sent in MUCH SMALLER DONAIRS DEFINITELY NOT A LARGE. TOP THAT OFF THE DONAIRS WERE SOGGY, SLOPPY AND GREASY!!!! So disgusting and inedible. So I guess this is how they treat paying customers when not in person!!!! They cheat you and don’t give the same service or even the same product just because it’s on Uber eats!!!!
