What David R doesn't like about Jade Village Restaurant Ltd:
This was the first experience and it was not great, despite other positive reviews we had read. Egg in egg foo yung didn’t seem quite cooked, pineapple balls were heavy in batter with very little sauce, sweet and sour ribs were tough and little meat on the bones. Not a good meal. View all feedback.

The food is very mediocre and did not have a lot of flavour. Add to that very doughy pineapple balls. The egg rolls are very heavy and the ginger beef was just odd and tasted like no other ginger beef I had ever had
This western Chinese restaurant is open for sit down dining and delivery. In town for thrift store shopping, we found this gem across the street. Very friendly people, nice small town atmosphere but it is the food that is the wow. We had the Szechuan beef, Singapore rice noodles and lemon chicken. We asked for medium spicy dishes and they delivered. The dishes were spicy and flavourful with very good portions. The beef was tender with a good spicy red sauce, it was our favourite. The lemon sauce on the chicken had a hint of lemon, it could be abit stronger. The chicken was fried well with a good portion of chicken inside. Good curry flavour on the Singapore noodles. The owner even offered us a curry noodle fish ball dish to taste (not on the menu) and it was yummy. With international travel curtailed, it is a good idea to visit and see the small towns around you. Go and experience small town life, talk to the local people, visit a shop or local eateries. Jade Garden is a gem, SO GET INTO YOUR CAR AND GO !!

We hadn’t eaten here probably in 20 years but have been ordering take out from all the local spots. So we order the Szechuan dinner for 2 and was very happy with the food. Could have easily fed more but gave us leftovers. The best part was that the food was more authentic and not covered in sauce that is reminiscent of North American Asian cuisine. Lots of great spice and perfect quantities. Would go again.
