Lovely chilled lunch as a couple sharing very good quality sharing plates. A great value NZ Sauvignon Blanc completed a perfect relaxed Friday lunch. It’s definitely our go to local restaurant when we want something a bit different and special. Highly recommend.
The restaurant offers excellent food and attentive, yet discreet service. We indulged in the seven-course seasonal tasting menu. The crispy lamb shoulder snack was particularly delicious, and the wine flight paired perfectly with the dishes, including a bold red wine that surprisingly complemented the chicken. Cheese lovers must not skip the optional cheese supplement. This establishment is undoubtedly the top choice for fine dining in St Albans and Harpenden.
Had probably the best meal ever here and I am a serious foodie. The tasting menu was faultless. Really innovative, seasonal and exciting and I struggle to name a favourite course. The only down side was the level of noise and being hard of hearing I should have booked a quiet table. We will definitely be back, no doubt very soon.
I service was great and we asked for minor variations to our menu which they did with no problem. Service with a smile. Our choices were all well enjoyed, great prawns, wonderful duck in all it was hard to fault. Can't wait to return.
