I was slightly disappointed to find that the only vegetarian option available was a curry, and it was a stereotypical one at that! However, I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh and delicious it was! I would definitely return to enjoy this dish again. The standout dessert on the menu was the vegan chocolate torte with ice cream. It was excellent value for money, and I left as a very satisfied customer! View all feedback.

The location is beautiful and its a lovely building. There is also ample parking which is great. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I have visited a few times in past year and the food has always been good. The food and atmosphere were fantastic! We ordered the fried seabass (boneless, a great addition) and roast chicken, both of which were perfect. The triple chocolate brownie was also delicious. The weather and Sunshine added to the overall experience. Will definitely be returning!
This charming pub is located on the outskirts of St Albans, offering both indoor and outdoor seating areas along with a spacious beer garden. The menu is updated daily on their website, ensuring that all nutritional needs are met. They also have a separate gluten-free menu with a variety of options. The parking lot is ample, but may fill up quickly on sunny weekends. Additionally, the pub's website provides a link to a nearby hiking trail for those looking to combine their visit with some outdoor exploration.
The service at this restaurant is excellent. Unfortunately, there were no parsnips available for the Christmas dinner. The price per person is between £30 and £40. The food is rated a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4. I recommend trying the Sticky Toffee Pudding.
The restaurant offers a good selection of ales and delicious food. While the prices may be a bit high, the quality of the food and the decor make it worth it. The gardens are especially beautiful in the summer. The restroom facilities at Prae Wood are particularly impressive, and reflect the overall high standard of the pub. Price per person is around £30-40. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive top marks. Recommended dishes include Haddock and Salmon Fish Cake, Steak and Ale Pie, Roast Duck Breast with Croquettes, Pint of Ale, and Braised Shoulder of Lamb.
