I have been going to this restaurant for a while now and have had great food each time. I am sorry to see that someone had an issue there. But don't we get that from time to time everywhere. The Owners are working really hard to serve fresh and tasty Chinese food.I really like traditional Chinese dishes and they will do that for you if ask.I highly recommend this restaurant View all feedback.
What Lennie Shanahan doesn't like about Lotus Gardens Restaurant:
They may have just been experiencing a larger than usual crowd, but when we arrived, at 6 pm, the hot table was mostly empty. We sat and waited for more pans of food to be brought out, but that happened very slowly, and with meager amounts of each item.Food was mostly cooked either too little (doughy batter) or too much.Price was on a par with much better restaurants, so we won't be back again View all feedback.
Went in as an alternative to Brewery Pub down the street. Should have waited the 25 minutes for a table at the pub.Food was VERY bland, nothing outstanding here.Service, one person, was slow to be polite. The one good thing was the cheap Chinese beer.
I ate here many times when the current owners opned and really enjoyed the food. That has changed in the past little while. When I first ate here, was really impressed, food was prepared fresh, which was obvious, no after taste I associate with Chinese food and it was really good. I have ordered from the menu as well as the buffet. Now it is low in flavour, and while the veggies still look fresh, it lacks a certain something. The celery pieces are huge, the ginger beef looks like a mystery meet, the prawns overdone ( batter to hard to bite into) they look something from the freezer section at the local grocery, wonton soup tasteless. Excellent egg rolls though. Those are home made. It's too bad, they used to have the only local Chinese food I liked.
This place was quite a disappointment. I wouldn't consider the food to be good quality and it didn't taste very good, especially the meat. They all seemed to be low quality and did not taste good. The service wasn't very good, and I believe service staff should maybe take more pride in how they present themselves, maybe wear something other than sweats.
