Contribute FeedbackBisla Sweets in Squamish has received mixed reviews from customers. While some were impressed with the food, service, and pricing, others were highly disappointed by the food quality and service received. Some positive highlights include a variety of vegan and vegetarian options, fantastic desserts, and polite staff. On the contrary, some customers were appalled by the lack of professionalism and respect shown by the owner, the disappointing quality of popular dishes like chicken tikka masala, and the poor food quality of items like goat biryani and dahi bhalla. It seems like experiences at Bisla Sweets might vary greatly depending on what you order.
My husband and I eat in many Indian restaurants. I write food columns for adventure magazines, develop recipes for them and consider me a sharp dining room. This was our second visit to Bisla and we were thrilled by the balanced Spicing of the...aloo gobhi, Shahee clothing and dal makhni. It is a simple restaurant that distinguishes itself from Indian dishes. Vegans and vegetarians find several things on the menu. Look at this place... I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I had the best experience while at Bisla Sweets. The food was amazing, much better than any other Indian restaurant I've ever eaten at. I had lunch here and I had to come back for dinner because I loved it so much. The portions are a good size for the pricing. Costumer Service was great, love the family aspect this restaurant has as it is run by a family. Would definitely recommend anyone who is in the area to come to this restaurant if you want to try amazing Indian food with great prices.
I normally go to Bisla's for their fabulous samosas (both veggie and chicken.) Even if I am making an Indian dish at home this is one item I always get. They are priced well, very filling and just perfection. I strongly suggest getting the sauce as it just takes it to the next level. Any time we were able to order lunch through work this was always the winner. Meals are great for the value and always consistent. Also, love the new location as parking is much easier.
The food is great, the flavours are authentic and delicious. Everything has a homemade flavour. The samosas are delicious.
We've been going to this place for a few years but only because they are the ONLY Indian restaurant in the downtown area. They have a monopoly and they KNOW IT!We moved here from another province and when we did, we could not believe the prices they charge for the small portions they give you!Alas, we would still occasionally eat there as my kids love samosas. When the MOVED to their NEW LOCATION recently, the service and food got even worse (didnt think it was possible).Perhaps the move cost them a lot of money, but thats NO REASON to cut the size of samosas in HALF!!!!!Note about service: This is run by a couple and their son. If you are lucky enough to get the son (late teens we think) helping you, then you've lucked out. He's the only one who knows what good customer service means. The father always seems angry
