Update: went back and the service was much better. More importantly, the food was amazing! Definitely worth it!First time there will be our last time there. We went for a late lunch (about 2pm so after any rush; they werent very busy) and when we asked to sit on the patio the hostess rolled her eyes at us. She did take us out there though and we chose a nice spot with some shade. We then waited there more than 15 min... View all feedback.
What Nikki “Nikki” W doesn't like about The Cheesecake Cafe:
We visited July 15, we were seated in the lounge. The wall beside the table had 2 dead flies stuck to it, and visibly the cracks and wall itself was full of sticky goop of some sort. The table was so sticky that my napkin with my fork on it would not slide on the table. There was a lot of crumbs and food left on the floor, underneath the table as well.It really made me question how clean the kitchen and dishes were.It'... Extremely disappointing! The food was overpriced and far from enjoyable. The lobster mac and cheese was flavorless and overwhelmed with breadcrumbs, making it feel like I was eating sand. The MCM chicken was tasteless and unremarkable. Overall, we won't be returning or recommending this restaurant. It wasn't busy, and now we see why. However, the server was attentive and did a good job.
I truly loved the Lemon Soufflé Cheesecake; it struck the perfect harmony between sweetness and a delightful lemon flavor. However, the White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake was rather average. While I appreciated the filling, I found the chocolate crust too bitter for my liking, which prevented me from finishing it. The white chocolate layer was quite sweet, making it a decent dessert overall, but it didn't leave a lasting impression on me.
Feeling frustrated, we decided to leave and walked through the restaurant to return our menus. Not one person acknowledged our exit. Overall, it was quite disappointing.
The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff provided exceptional service. I tried the Teriyaki chicken bowl, and it was incredibly delicious! We couldn't resist trying the cheesecake; I chose a slice of turtle cheesecake, and it was amazing! I highly recommend The Cheesecake Cafe!
The lobster clubhouse and London fog cheesecake were absolutely amazing. The blackberry vanilla soda, infused with fresh mint, was a true delight. The service was fast and attentive, and our food came out just in time. Overall, it was a superb dining experience.
