Overall seemed very skimpy. We used to come here often and was in area so wanted to eat. Drinks were great!

Drove 20 minutes back home to find that I had no sandwiches at all but one piece of sausage and one piece of bacon. Pretty cruddy. Won’t be going back.

The staff is also incredibly nice and easy to converse with. They have lots of seating and it's a great place to do homework. Every time we visit Springfield, this is our favorite place to eat. The staff is incredibly welcoming and makes you feel at home. From the freshest parfaits to the tastiest bacon around, breakfast just isn't complete without a meal from Roots.

They also provide catering services for various functions like weddings, parties, and conferences, and the food they offer for these events is outstanding. I highly recommend stopping by for lunch and coffee—you won't be disappointed. Their French toast and oatmeal make for delicious breakfast choices, and the Smashers sandwich is a must-try at lunchtime. Their coffee is excellent and definitely deserves a perfect rating of 10.

To address the owner's comment, I noticed that the sandwich contained very little lettuce, the avocado was more like a spread instead of fresh avocado slices, and overall, the portion felt rather small. We used to visit this restaurant frequently when we were in the area, and we decided to come back again. Despite the disappointing sandwich, the drinks remained excellent.
