New Chinese Chef - Springfield

Cashew boss is solid. I didn't have a bad meal. There can be one, but it's my whole time to go!

I stopped by on a whim, so I didn't have any expectations. I ordered the veggie spring rolls and veggie lo mein. The spring rolls were almost what I was expecting, but they were a bit over-fried and put into the styrofoam go-box while they were still too hot, so they literally melted through the side, and melted the lid of the plastic cup of duck sauce in the box. The lo mein was a bit underwhelming too. First, it tasted like it was made with beef or chicken stock--which would make it non-vegetarian. Second, the broccoli was almost raw and I'm not a fan of bamboo shoots. The meal wasn't terrible, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to have it again.

Very yummy food, I took a star off because their Hot and Spicy was described to be a medium heat, but on a spicy rating of 1 to 10, 10 being hottest, I give it a 1. Not spicy. Edit as of June 1st, 2022: Tried the Beef Kung Pow, something that is widely known for spicy, and there is a mild (at best) spicy factor to it. Lowering reviews from 4 stars to 2 stars. My curry paste is spicier than this. July 26th, 2022. Ordered Kung Pao Chicken and this time it was all cabbage. Literally only going here for cheap sushi. The rest of the menu is complete trash. Lowering to 1 star. Try harder.

I can't stand when a business thinks it's okay to argue with a customer. The blonde girl in the register with commands has missed our order that should be to go. Starts to box it, then it lets sit on the counter to take a bunch of different orders, then goes back to box our order all the time without gloves. She can see her on something or needs medical attention especially when you eat with people. I hope no children get sick or hurt

Great service. Staff very friendly. Good bargain as you soup, salad and drink with dunes in combos. The food was good. Had no charge for extra sauce. We'll be back.
