Dine in. Server was pretty fast in greeting me and taking my order. She checked on me several times. Food was excellent. Getting pretty pricey. I understand prices go up when the cost of food goes up. They need to make a profit too. Burrito enchilada style with tax is a little over $16. View all feedback.
What Angi Howard doesn't like about Mexican Villa:
A historic gem in the city, this restaurant serves authentic cuisine that really stands out. I was disappointed to find they didn't offer freshly made margaritas, but the Mexican Villa beer was a refreshing choice. The tamales were quite enjoyable, and the restaurant is well-known for its salsa, which comes in a range of heat levels. I particularly liked the mild salsa, as it had a touch of sweetness. Being born and raised in the southwest I have had way more than my fair share of mexican food. Mexican Villa's food tastes good however it does miss the mark a little bit... when I sat down they served warm tortilla chips but NO salsa... I am not sure if someone just doesn't know BUT customarily chips and salsa are placed on the table soon after the customer is seated at the table followed closely by someone taking the drink order... i ordered an ice tea that was delicious

This is a Springfield favorite. Visit the OG location for the true, Villa style. It's Tex Mex with a Springfield flair. My oldest says....If Taco Bell was a restaurant....Mexican Villa would be it. Get the Burrito Enchilada style and a taco.
Mexican villa is a Springfield MO staple. The burrito enchilada style much like the cashew chicken was invented in Springfield and has been a very popular dish among Springfield residents and had been for nearly 50 years. There are several Mexican villa locations that all serve delicious Americanized Mexican food. The wait staff is always very nice and friendly and quick to take care of your needs. The hot sauce is also a Springfield treat that is crazy hot and
Waited for a while to be seated. Waitress was super nice. My $11 burrito had what tasted like Campbell's chicken soup chicken and an entire can of refried beans. No sauce, no cheese, canned jalapenos, and a packet of sour cream. Salsa is similar to Pace picante. Not trying to be mean, but it was awful.
