My wife and I eat here fairly often. We love it. Nothing fancy just good hot Mexican food, large plates, and a nice bar menu. They do get busy especially on weekends, so plan for a little wait at times. View all feedback.
What Zoë Servais dislikes about El Ranchito:
The worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been too. On a Thursday night it took 20 mins to get a seat for 6 people. Then took 10 mins to get drinks. After ordering we got our food in increments. Got two meals first then told that they didnt have the ingredients to make two of our orders so we made new orders that were way differrent when received. I ordered Texas rice which arrived 10 mins later and all the vegetables w... View all feedback.
My husband and I went to this restaurant for Sunday dinner. We arrived right when they opened at 11 o'clock and were seated immediately. The waiter took our drink orders - I got my drink, my husband ordered a Sprite, but the waiter brought me the wrong drink and a sweet tea instead. We were the only customers in the restaurant for a few minutes until a family of five sat down next to us. They ordered and received their food before us. My husband needed a refill, but we hadn't seen the waiter since he brought our drinks. Another staff member brought out our food and we asked for more salsa and napkins. We only had two napkins and no salsa until we reminded the staff member when he passed by. My husband ordered fajitas, but they didn't bring out the tortillas. I ordered two chicken tacos and one steak taco, but there was hardly any meat on each taco. Eventually, my husband got his tortillas to eat the fajitas, but still didn't get his refill. We asked another waitress for a refill, who then had to find the waiter we hadn't seen since he brought our drinks to get the bill. Finally, the bill was brought to us, with the waiter mentioning that he didn't get a tip because of the poor customer service he provided. We do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are other Mexican restaurants nearby that have much better food and customer service.
Food experience the worst! it took forever to take our beverage order and until the time we set our food order, we have already waited 30 minutes. When the food finally came, it looked and tasted disgusting. my moms fish tacos had a dirty smell. my sonny nuggets were hard as a rock. everything was terrible! we told the owner of our care and he let us go as if we were nothing. we told him we could eat our food and he seemed upset. we told him we weren't back and he said we didn't come back. I didn't even want to start one because it didn't deserve it.
I and my family went there and ordered when our food came, it smelled funny, but we thought it might be just us, but when everyone tried to eat it, everything tasted funny. we waited and waited for the waiting staff to come by, even tried to tie someone who worked there, but it wasn't waiter, but they went by as if we weren't telling them. When we went toleave, we asked to talk to the manager not to get over eating it free, but to let them know that eating seemed off, so they did not serve the same eating to other people, he said the owner then claim we are like all the others who eat all food then co-level try to get it free. I've been in restaurant management for 1p years and I know the games I asked him to look at the table and see that we're hardly anything that I've bitten my whole family. the chicken nuggets of my child were so hard that he could not eat them. I asked him to look at the table, but he refused to speak spanishly with my wife who is buying spanish, was not raised to speak it and screaming it when she explained that they did not speak spanish, he told us to pay and go and never come back. I've never been as disdained as for me and my family.
