Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

The food was not as good as we’ve had here before. My husband got the Chicken Dumplins’ and barely had half a bowl-ful. Even though it was the lunch-size portion he’s always had a full bowl. I had the turkey lunch special and was not impressed. The turkey was good, but I didn’t like the flour lumps in the gravy. There was barely a teaspoon of gravy on my mashed potatoes so I asked for extra and was brought a tiny dish with maybe two teaspoons in it. The dressing was just plain awful … very dry … no amount of gravy was going to save it. And cranberry relish served in a tiny condiment cup … geez! The restaurant itself was just too, too noisy … we couldn’t carry on a conversation because we had to try and talk over the group sitting at the table next to us who were trying to talk over the group sitting at the table next to them. At least our server was pleasant!

Waitress was excellent (Jamie) this was at the leffel lane location in Springfield, Ohio .Food was also hot and fresh . We also ordered a whole Coca Cola cake (short notice) waitress Jamie made it happen . Everything was excellent , we will definitely be back . This is the way I remember Cracker Barrel when it first opened years ago .
