Great restaurant, nice atmosphere, and awesome food. They have a separate vegan menu which is nice. I had the black bean and jackfruit nachos and also the jungle bowl. Both were delicious! View all feedback.
What Sophia Kraaz dislikes about Café Cusco:
Me (vegetarian) and boyfriend (vegan) we’re excited to try this place because of their unique vegan menu. I ordered the vegan BBQ jackfruit panca and he ordered the vegan spicy rocoto. However, I noticed something very off about the “jackfruit” and how it seemed too much like real meat. My boyfriend also tried it and said it was probably just very good jackfruit. The bill came just to find it was rung up as PORK panc... View all feedback.

Vegetarian choices: Jackfruit fajitas, sweet potato noodle stir fry, and numerous other vegetarian options! Dietary accommodations: Plenty of gluten-free options available.
Had the jack fruit tacos and a La Paloma. Loved it! I'll be going back to try more dishes.
The ambiance was fantastic, and the food was decent. The ceviche had a bit too much of a reliance on artificial lime juice rather than fresh lime juice, but it was still well-prepared. The Chori-pan burger, on the other hand, was outstanding.

Who would have thought you could find a restaurant gem in a small town in the Midwest! They have a whole vegan menu that was almost totally gluten-free. We were in culinary heaven! It was happy hour, so we ordered a half vegan nachos that were a real surprise with a pico de Gallo made with tiny minced veggies and mangos. It added a tangy spiciness to the nachos. Then, we shared a vegan tamale smothered in roasted peppers in a spice soft. Finally, we split a Puca Picante, sautéed mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers in a mildly spicy sauce and tossed with potatoes. My husband had dessert-Maxamorra Morada, a hot fruit pudding sprinkled with cinnamon. Everything was delicious. I would highly recommend this charming restaurant. #Veganuary Updated from previous review on 2024-01-04
Cafe Cusco has a wonderful ambience and friendly staff, although I do feel the wait time is much longer here than other places I go to. Even Van Gogh's, a sister restaurant, is quicker than my experiences at Cafe Cusco. However, I much prefer Cafe Cusco's food and vegan menu. I recommend the black bean fajitas, the vegetable quinoa soup, and the black bean burger. Their fries are also really good, whether you pick regular or sweet potato. They have a delicious seasoning on those fries. My mouth is watering just thinking about their food. I'd say my only con (a personal preference) is a lot of the meals have mushrooms so I haven't tried much of the menu, not being a big fan of mushrooms, and they are the primary substitute for meat in these dishes. But if you enjoy mushrooms you'll have a variety of options!
This was such a fun restaurant to try and was pleasantly surprised they had a separate Vegan Menu. It made it incredibly easy to order. And it wasn't just one or two items, you'll have trouble narrowing down what you should order! The food was great, definitely give it a try.
The vegan menu here is extensive and the flavors were phenomenal. I ordered the tamale for an app and it was delicious and enough to share. I had the portobello tacos for dinner. They had just enough spice to make them very flavorful. My friend ordered the glass noodle dish and I got a taste of that as well. It was delicious. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!

Really enjoyed eating here. Nice cozy authentic atmosphere! Food was very good and reasonably priced. Will eat here again!
Great place for dinner. Wonderful service Great drinks... I had the rub steak with mashed potatoes so good.
Best resturant on c street worth the drive up to northside. Its almost a hole in wall feel but the upstairs give them much more room. Food is deviven but certain dishes are really not for everyone but they do offer a vegan menu as well and a nice list of argentina wines. You want a cute date spot this is your spot

You have a separate menu for vegetarian/vegan options! Many possibilities! Great food and beautiful atmosphere!
This is a cute secluded restaurant on commercial with vegan menu. You have a good cocktail menu and the service is beautiful. There was nothing unusual about the menu, but it was a nice, moderately expensive restaurant with some cultural options. Unfortunately, they think they're tied to Van Gogh. You have met all our needs in our family!! Even my grandfather who wanted rice and broccoli!! Amazing service atmosphere and food is a burst of giminess in every bite. Flavors explode in the mouth. #Adulthappymeals
We started with Fried Guacamole, that was FANTASTIC! The mango sauce was delicious. Our vegetarian daughter ordered the Pesto Peru without mushrooms. She said it was very rich. She had to take part. My husband and I had the Vegan Portobello Tacos who were AMAZING! Spicy and delicious. A non-vegan would enjoy this and probably not realize that it is not meat. The size of each tacos (3 overall) was good. 5-star!
