What User doesn't like about George Violet's Steakhouse:
Mushroom soup was very good. The rest of the menu was workmanlike but not not worthy of the top tier pricing. I could tell that the chef was trying to bring it up a notch, but he failed to realize his ambitions. Two steaks, a New York strip and an aged ribeye appeared as the same cut of meat cooked in the same way. Whipped beef fat served in lieu… More View all feedback.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Consistently excellent drinks, food and service. Just one of my favorite places in the Eugene-Springfield area, and our Go-to-Spot for a date night.
I love this place. A reservation at least one day in advance is a must. This is really a nice culinary experience and absolutely worth every penny. You could go somewhere else and spend $100 for a mediocre meal or you can come here and be spent in twice as much because the food and service is so incredible. I recommend the aged steak even if you? re not that into steak, you may be a fan of theirs.
First, before we get to dinner, I want to put our server together. He was friendly, attentive and very fast. The food was delicious and everything combined was excellent. I loved all the foods and the desserts were very tasteful without being too sweet. I would prefer these desserts rather than many of the bakeries in town. We had smoked ear gray ice cream, fig something really delicious and Panna cotta. This is the first time I was here. We're picky about our steaks. The medium was a real medium with the perfect amount of pink, but the car on the outside was just the right amount. I am so happy with my birthday dinner and I will definitely return. This is a jewel for Springfield. In recent years there are some nice supplements, but I would say that is by far the best restaurant in the city.
The gnocchi appetizer is delightful, so light and fluffy with a delicious parmesan cream sauce. Both steak dishes were amazing, as was the baked macaroni. Dessert sweetened the deal! Smoked earl grey tea ice cream and a fig leaf bavarois as photographed. Wonderful and lovely to look at! One of my very favorite experiences!!
