The pumpkin soup of the day was perfect for warming me up after a chilly visit to Arthur's Pass. It was delicious! The Wild West pancakes were equally tasty. The staff were warm and friendly, and the playlist was great. I highly recommend stopping here for a meal and coffee.
Charming café to visit! The service is warm and welcoming. We only tried the hot chocolate and muffin, but both were delightful.
The restaurant was very clean and tidy. The coffee was nice, but the carrot cake was a little dry, although it still tasted good.
The service by the young woman working on her own yesterday deserves a review of her own. Fantastic service under pressure, we sure hope your boss appreciates you, you coped marvelously with a smile that saved the day. A total credit to the place. And the coffee was **** good too.
This cafe is a place you definitely have to visit and have a meal and drink. The food is absolutely delicious and so big. One of the nicest burgers I have ever had. The staff are very pleasant and friendly and the cafe is lovely and warm due to the fire going. Definitely will be calling back into the Highway Cafe and try out other meals. Lovely hot drinks too. A must to visit.
