There were no restaurants in Springer. So this place was our closest option. The food is pretty average, but they have a vast menu. I got the 10 oz ribeye with mash potatoes and a salad. The steak was fine. A pretty small steak, but it was cooked perfectly at medium rare. The service was really quick. Especially considering there is only one waiter. They do not serve any alcohol. What Elena C doesn't like about Russell's Truck Travel Center:
The pot roast was tender, as advertised. It comes with two sides and they have a good selection. You also get a small sweet roll that tastes like a Hawaiian roll. While the ladies were nice to my face, one in a light blue track suit kept walking and lingering near me for no apparent reason. Another one, the server who brought my food and took my money, long curly hair pulled back in a ponytail, was watching me in the... View all feedback.

It's easily the best dinner spot in the area, bc it is the only one. Bottom line diner atmosphere, with a vast menu.
Loaded Cheeseburger the service was great and fast and friendly. Food was good. We love stopping here when traveling in the area.
The service was pleasant. The food was OK. I think the food being OK was because of my choice in food. I had cheese enchiladas stacked for the first time. I don 't think that was enjoyable for me. The green chili sauce was really good, there was just too much sauce. I will not hesitate to eat here again. I really enjoyed the look and feel of the room. If you 're on the road and need a good place to eat.... Stop here!
High interest location because this gas station is full of collectibles. It is super quaint. It's a fun place to stop for the typical gas station snack and a stretch. It's a little difficult to get in and out without spending more than you intended because there are really cool souvenirs tourist items. Even as a NM local I thought of making some purchases. The prices are typical of gas stations. The bathrooms were a little on the dirty side, but they had toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. I do recommend stopping here.
Typical truck stop atmosphere but food is great and service is very good. Highly recommend it.
