I had the Brisket plate, wife had the burger. The brisket is not true Texas style, the first clue was it was drizzled with BBQ sauce. However it was still outstanding, tender, and good salt and pepper bark. I would prefer it to be a little more fatty and moist. I would order it again. Just a great neighborhood bar and grill. The service is super friendly and the food is excellent. One of the best burgers I've had in NWA. The brisket sandwich is amazing, and those hand pies! They have a nice outdoor seating area and live music too. Check it out when in Tontitown, you won't be sorry.
I ordered the brisket plate while my wife chose the burger. The brisket wasn't quite what you'd expect from true Texas style, as it was topped with BBQ sauce, which was a giveaway. Nevertheless, it was exceptionally tender with a great salt and pepper bark. I would have preferred it to be a bit fattier and more moist, but I would definitely order it again. My wife’s burger was excellent; they grill the burgers flat as they should be, making it possibly the best burger in town. The baked beans, which included brisket points (the burnt ends), were fantastic—perhaps that’s where all the moist bits of brisket went! The coleslaw had a true southern flair, made with mayo and sweet. The mac and cheese was also very good. This was our first visit, and we plan to come back regularly. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick. Plus, it’s locally owned.
The wait staff was excellent. This restaurant specializes in barbecue, but having spent a lot of time in Memphis, I have high expectations. My chicken leg quarter and sausage plate was decent, but I didn’t really taste much smoke, and the house barbecue sauce could have been more flavorful. However, my incredibly busy yet very helpful waitress recommended the fried pie with ice cream and caramel drizzle, which was amazing. The midweek lunch crowd consisted of a mix of older folks like me and a few working people, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
I absolutely adore this "hidden" gem! The staff is fantastic, and the food is delicious. You definitely have to try their chicken strips with ranch!
The food and service here are excellent! Everything we've tried has been delicious. I especially love the fried jalapeños. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and it's conveniently located near my home. They also have my favorite beer on tap. I’m definitely a fan!
