Cotton Patch Cafe - Springdale
Cotton Patch Cafe
Description
A consistently crowd-pleasing neighborhood restaurant, praised for exceptional service, spotless dining rooms, and generous portions of Southern comfort fare — especially chicken-fried chicken and steak, hand-breaded fried pickles, real mashed potatoes, huge yeast rolls and house desserts. The kitchen delivers fresh, hot plates quickly even on busy nights; prices feel reasonable. Family- and date-night friendly, the lively atmosphere can get loud and parking fills up, but attentive staff and reliable flavors keep diners returning.

I had lunch here yesterday, and it’s a must-try! The service was outstanding—beyond all expectations! Our server, Chantelle, really took the time to attend to us, which made a big difference compared to just being served. Everyone was incredibly friendly! The food was fresh, featuring real mashed potatoes, hand-breaded fried pickles, and chicken-fried steak that you could cut with a fork. The yeast rolls were huge as well! All of this came at reasonable prices.
I had one of the best chicken fried steaks I've ever tasted. I will definitely be returning. Thank you, Cotton Patch!
The service here is incredibly fast, the staff is friendly, and the food is fantastic. This is definitely a place worth revisiting. We almost left because the parking lot was so crowded, but we're glad we decided to go inside since there were plenty of open tables. We had just begun enjoying the delicious fried pickles when our food arrived. Lunch turned out to be very pleasant, and we took the remaining pickles home; they were almost as tasty cold. We've returned several times since then. My husband tried the ribeye steak and found it enjoyable, although he mentioned it was on the thin side, the flavor was great. The shrimp was fine, but not their standout dish. However, the Chicken Fried Steak is always excellent! It's a massive portion, so you're likely to have leftovers to take home.
The service was excellent during our visit with my family. We went on Easter Sunday and had a wait time of about 15 minutes to be seated. The staff were all friendly, and the restaurant was well-maintained. Our meals were delicious—neither too greasy nor heavy—and everything was served fresh and hot.
I dined there on Sunday afternoon and the food was amazing! However, the music was quite loud. We asked our waiter if it could be turned down, and he mentioned that three other tables had also complained. They eventually turned it down a bit, but it was still somewhat too loud for my taste. I have no complaints about the food or service, though! I will definitely return!
