The food lacked freshness, and I experienced a long wait at the drive-thru, which was quite inconvenient considering the busy evening I had with my kids' practice. The elevated prices did not justify the experience.
This location is typically well-managed. Since moving to Franklin, we have explored numerous local restaurants, and this KFC has been one of the standout choices. However, my latest visit was disappointing. Although the staff were friendly and attentive, the food was not up to par. The chicken was stale and dry, the biscuits were so dry that they were difficult to swallow, and the bun for the Chicken Little sandwich was hard as a rock. Overall, the chicken was tough and unappetizing.
I ordered three pieces of chicken that looked more like they came from a pigeon than a real chicken. They were incredibly greasy, as if they had been soaked in oil after sitting around for a day. I've loved Kentucky Fried Chicken my whole life, but after this experience, I'll be going to Lees from now on.
Despite being short-staffed, they did an amazing job. The food was delicious and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I received my order.
My fiancé and our 2-year-old stopped by the drive-thru for lunch today. When she handed her credit card to the employee at the window, he suddenly fell asleep or passed out while standing at the register, with her card still in the reader. We don’t want to jump to conclusions about the cause, but we hope the employee gets the rest he needs. That said, we can’t recommend eating here, as we ended up throwing away all our food and went to Wendy’s instead. We even recorded the incident on video.
