Doubleday's Grill &tavern - Springboro

I must say, I always dine at Doubledays, but last night's dining experience was the best one yet! From the moment we walked in, we were treated with such warmth and welcome. The food was top notch as always (I got a pizza, my wife ordered the chicken tenders. I woke up this morning and was instantly in the mood to go back. Not very often that a local restaurant can have that effect on you! Just thought I'd share my experience :

I ordered a pick up order at the Springboro location and when I got there to pick up my order, I was given the wrong food. One box had my number on it and other boxes. The other two boxes didn’t have any numbers on it. I ordered the Fried fish with 2 sides, that was a deal for today. But when I got home and I got my food out, it was a barbecue chicken that had Zucchini and baked potato. I didn’t order that. Why I ordered was fried fish with zucchini and a loaded baked potato. They must have accidentally gave me someone else’s because the barbecue chicken was one of their specials today also.

Food was so so, but it was weird how the wait staff just hangs out behind the tables and stare.

Sadly, visited tonight. Sat at table. 18 minutes went by with no contact. No server, no beverages, nothing. On way out parking lost most of the staff was out back smoking. Sad. I really love this place.

Great variety. Good sized portions. Pizza crust delicious and crispy. Excellent club sandwich.
