Fuel Refuge - Spring Lake
Fuel Refuge
Description
**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag at Fuel**
Fuel presents a vibrant atmosphere with an intriguing menu, noted for its standout wood-fired pizzas and creative cocktails like the lemon drop martini. While many guests rave about the delicious flavors and attentive service, a few recurring issues mar the experience. Long kitchen wait times and a lack of consistencies in food quality, especially with kid’s menu items, have been noted. Additionally, sporadic hours of operation and noise from outdoor seating can deter potential diners. Overall, Fuel offers a promising dining experience but requires improvements to fully satisfy its patrons.

I've tried to visit this restaurant twice, but it's never open. The food just doesn't justify the prices they charge. It's clear that this establishment isn't committed to being available for customers. It would be better for the community if they closed down and let someone else who is truly passionate about running a business take over. They seem to be closed 80% of the time, which is not ideal for Spring Lake.
This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The food is superb, and the cocktails are incredible! The lemon drop martini is a standout! The atmosphere is wonderful, and the service is exceptional. A special shout-out to Nikella for being an outstanding server!
I highly recommend this restaurant; the food is absolutely fantastic! It's hard to find good mules at restaurants, but this place offers incredible ones. Our server was friendly and attentive. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
First time ever ordering from here and we mostly wanted pizza so just got take out. There are no prices listed on the menu on their website. Whoever made the arugula sausage pizza pictured literally did not care lol. I can understand there is a skill to launching a pizza into the wood fire oven but this was poorly built from the start, note how all the sausage sits on one side. The flavors from the middle all together were amazing so it was disappointing to have so much of the pizza left without. This was $17 . We also ordered bang bang shrimp $15 (which was great the sauce on it was wonderful) side of fries $6 all of those prices were totally to be expected. Kids cheese pizza $10 kids pepperoni pizza $12.50 The red sauce tasted to be very basic but unsure if this is normal or just on the kids since the specialty pizza we ordered had white sauce. The wood fire does not make up for lack of quality to charge that much for kids pizza when I could have just ordered the standard size pepperoni pizza for $15? All together I spent $74 and change (including tip) and overall it wasn’t worth it. I’m hoping this is a fluke for them and this will warn anyone with children (just get a regular size pizza LOL) This experience took away any desire to go in for the other menu items. All in all seems like a high priced gamble when there are other choices around.
This is a great spot to gather with friends or relax together. The menu is somewhat limited, but it features a mix of unique and familiar options. We enjoyed the mussels, fig pizza, fish and chips, and a burrito bowl. Overall, I would rate the food a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a perfect 5.
