A fairly good dining experience. The menu was well laid out, although, I did expect more Raman noodle options, but with that said, you can fully customise your order. The food was fairly good, not mind blowing, but certainly reliably safe from my experience. Although I did ask for my chicken Katsu curry extra spicy, as far as I could tell, there was no spice level. Customer service was good and prices were inline wit... View all feedback.
What Melba Langley doesn't like about Ichigo:
The menu looked amazing, we had high expectations, given the pricing, sadly Ichigo did not deliver. The seafood was watery, not firm and tasted washed out. The ramen was ok, but nothing to write home about. The poke bowl had no flavor to it, not the rice, or the watery fish and the sauce was barely there. Takoyaki was undercooked and too hot inside at the same time. Staff was uninterested, bathroom had no tp or paper... View all feedback.
I’ve been here about three times now, each with a different experience. First time I tried the ramen because that is most of my reviews and my current foodie kick. I was definitely not crazy about the ramen, but I’ve also had worse. My second trip I tried the chicken katsu curry which was actually a good meal. My third time I tried the pork katsu curry which was also very good. Nice grilled vegetables lightly sauced. My third visit was also accompanied by a random group of business people talking loudly, banging in walls, walking in and out of the kitchen. A little boy was riding his scooter inside the restaurant, and at one point was just staring at me while I was eating which was weird.Overall: I would definitely return for the chicken/pork katsu curry as there are not many places (probably unless your closer to the heart of Houston) that serve this and it is very good. Prices are also very reasonable here. Staff has always been kind and patient with me here.
First off, the waiter took a long time to just take our orders. The appetizer were minimal, order takoyako and dumplings, kinda squishy. Had order the spicy miso ramen, it wasn't spicy. Also order a spicy seafood ramen, that one had a little kick to it. It was okay, nothing special for ramen.
Me and my sister went for lunch and both of us could not finish the food. And came out with stomach aches. We got takoyaki and it was not cooked very well.My sister got the chicken katsu curry and all you could taste was the cumin. It also tasted sour.I got the spicy seafood ramen and when I tell you it tasted like nothing. Just watery seaweed. The shrimp and scallops also tasted weird, fishy and rubbery. We did get drinks and those were good and the service was okay. They did ask us what was wrong but I couldn't tell them that the food was not good .I don't think I could ever try it again specially after the stomach aches.
Found this place on a whim last year searching ramen and it has easily become our go to place to eat out. Small and quaint inside but the employees are efficient and nice. The food is phenomenal.
The food was alright, nothing to cry home about. A little overpriced for the quality.
