Granny Dee's Kitchen - Spring

I stopped by after church and my $60 bucks was a terrible waste!The BBQ was not fresh and covered in tooo much sauce (to hide the fact that it was old meat).I have never, I repeat, I have never ever ordered an ox tail plate for $30 with such little food! The barely gave any rice and I had to search for gravy! Mac n cheese was basic and cannied yams was nothing to brag about.The service was suppppper slow (they had signs saying that it may be slow).I dont mind waiting, IF its worth the wait annnnd this food ISN'T ?The cake, potato salad, and oxtails were decent.The baked beans came out of a can literally!Listennnn: Dont wast your time or money?

I order over $80 worth a food and was very disappointed. Lack of flavor the lack of food for a veggie plate.. mac is dry.. cabbage no flavor n hard.. yams was was ok but never again… all cornbread dry and just crumbled (not in moist way) idk for my first time ill never do it again… it pretty expensive for the amount of food you get but aye ?

I grew up in the church. I am a PK… Baby I stopped by Granny Dee’s after work today because I did not feel like cooking. I was a little hesitant because of the reviews. I said to my husband let’s try it anyway. We got the fish special and a slice of old fashion pound cake! All I can say is God was glorified!!! If I had ten thousand tongues I could not thank Granny Dee enough!!! The food was hot, fresh, and very good. Whew chile my feet almost got happy! I can’t speak on the previous bad reviews however it was well with my soul…. If you can trust God you can trust Granny Dee! God bless you granny! May everything you touch prosper..I know I am having fun in this review but I am oh so serious. I know good food when I taste it I come from a line of cooks. Its a straight up 5 out 5 for me!!!??????

WORST FOOD EVER ! ! ! I’ve never had such unseasoned gravy, chicken wings, greens, or black eye peas. It was disgusting, like they seasoned it with water. Then the fish was thin and po built. The fish and shrimp was the only thing with season and it had too much. The peach cobbler taste like sweet bread and barley had peaches. They should’ve shut down during COVID, and I don’t know who granny she is, but keep her out the kitchen. 10/10 would not recommend ! ! ! If you want some good food go to D Ls Cajun Kitchen off Homestead.

The peach cobbler was amazing , We got an Oxtail plate and the fish platter it was sooo good. the oxtails were cooked perfectly falling off the bone and just the right amount of spice. fish was super tender and breaded perfectly. Definitely will be back !
