Was Lydia Forster at Chuan a mag?
Where have you been all my life? Spring has needed a great Chinese cuisine spot and this one has taken my heart stomach. I got to go: spicy jelly noodles as spicy as they make them their pork steamed dumplings. Both have amazing flavor! The jellynoodles are a cold dish but every bite is a cacophony of flavor! I'm talking chili, lemongrass and a little bit of heat. It's afun consistency and very satisfying. The steame... View all feedback.
What Cliff Lawler dislikes about Chuan:
I'm very happy to see an authentic Sichuan style restaurant up our way in Spring, but unfortunately had a poor experience our first time here. They brought us the wrong dish (toothpick lamb instead of cumin lamb) and our chongqing laziji chicken came out20 minutes after everything else and had to ask twice about it. The food was beautiful but bland, with nonexistent Malapeppercorns in the chicken and other items. Por... View all feedback.
Updating my review because I noticed some changes in my favorite menu items, but the owner called me and was extremely nice and explained the reasoning behind the changes. Great customer service and a shameless plug for the tofu skin salad!! Its sooo so good and this is my favorite spot for it!
If you are investor wanting to buy a restaurant that is already built out in supplied this is your place. whoever is managing and running this place is horrible and the food was terrible. The pricing was outrageous. The sauces were expired. I know I took pictures and I paid almost $30 for lunch that normally I would pay only about 15 very horrible explains why I was the only guest inside from the time of noon until one.
Had lunch there. Literally made me ill. Food tasted old. I'll never eat there again.
Who would’ve known that this small restaurant next to H-E-B was such a hidden gem?!! I was looking for an authentic Chinese Sichuan restaurant and this place totally hit the spot! Their braised fish and tan tan noodle were especially good. The waitresswas very friendly too.
We came for dinner around 8pm. Service was good, food was fantastic! I got the kung pao chicken and my husband got the Mongolian Beef. I love spicy food so it had the perfect amount of spice for me. Definitely will be trying more things on the menu! It’sa step above the local Chinese restaurants where it’s more Americanized, this place has some more authentic dishes and varietyto try!
