Beer was brewed thoughtfully and deliciously. The choices were almost overwhelming! But Aaron was cool, kind, and knowledgeable. He took us on a journey of great beer. Def showing my friends this place.

From Calgary. Was staying at the Ruby river inn, wanted to try a cool spot. Walked to Lumberbeard, only a 20 minute walk, and had some fantastic craft beer. I would recommend to anyone staying in Spokane to try this establishment. Clean, courteous, and cultured.

Their beer is really great, crisp, clean and we were really impressed by the beer. And we have been there a few times because their beer is so good. The reason for the four stars and not for the five is because the place is just so sterile feeling and it's not even inviting. There's hardly a thing on the walls and it just feels like four walls with a bunch of chairs. If it wasn't for the great beer, we would really not even enjoy ourselves in there. I just wish that they would do something to make the place feel a little more warm and welcoming.I almost was going to give it three stars because I have to say that the staff is not very welcoming. We have been there twice and once was a female and once was a male in both times they just sat behind the counter on their phones the whole time. One time we were the only people in that place almost the entire time we were there and they never once walked out from behind the counter to ask if we wanted it another beer and they just sat there on their phones like we weren't even there. We had this both times we were there from two different employees. We were quite turned off by that. Having a staff that makes us feel welcome an interacts with us is almost just as important as a quality of the beer and this place did not have that.We will come here again one or two more times but if we feel like they are not interested in having us here, we will probably move on. Hopefully they change this because their beer is really really good and worthwhile.

Clean taproom in both cleanliness and design. They have to-go beer. Their hoppy stuff is pretty darn good I had the mosaic pale and the thunderskunk IPA along with he campfire treat stout and the Czech pils. Definitely get the Czech pils if you likebeer flavored beer. Would go again

Lumberbeard is a great addition to the downtown Spokane brewery scene. They have a spacious tasting room, great friendly servers, and some of the best in Spokane brews. Flavor Nuggets rocks!
