Had a great visit with some old friends while visiting Spokane. The pizza was good, the beer was good, the place was good. Not the greatest of neighborhoods, but worth a quick stop of off I-90 for a quick refreshment anytime. View all feedback.
What Scott Lawrence doesn't like about Iron Goat Brewing:
Had pizza and beers with a small group. We ordered 5 of the 6 pizzas on the menu. They were okay, but ultimately, not a very satisfying pizza experience. Beer was mostly good. View all feedback.
We stopped by on a rare visit to Spokane, hungry for a good pizza. We vaguely remembered eating some great pizza at a place with goat in the name and since we downtown, Yelp suggested Iron Goat Brewing. Sounded familiar so we headed over. The location was different than we remembered they had an extensive beer and cider menu and creative types of pizza so we ordered and settled in. Everything was excellent and we made it a point to note the name and location so we can get back to it next time we 're in the area. Oh, and some reading this may realized as I did several DAYS later that the restaurant we liked before was Flying Goat, in very different part of the city.
This restaurant is a great spot to grab a few beers or cocktails if you enjoy drinking. Even for non-drinkers, it's a nice place to socialize with friends who enjoy beer and grab some food. You can also play card games like poker. The ambience is really enjoyable.
Beers were really good and the vibe is relaxed, but the music was awful (80's pop). The bartender was really great. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy. Watermelon Cucumber Gose (great)Blackberry Apricot Sour (very good)Goatmeal oatmeal stout (great)Bob's Your Uncle robust Porter (very good)Irish Kate imperial red (very good)Chunks Raspberry Truffle Stout (excellent)
I had the pleasure of visiting the Iron Goat, and it surpassed all expectations and left an indelible mark on my taste buds and soul. It was truly an oasis of craft beer brilliance, tucked away in a charming corner of downtown Spokane
We tried southwest chicken bowl, came with jasmine rice which tasted okay. Hummus dip tasted great but lil bit salty. They have great options of beers.
