Gateway Cafe - Spokane
Gateway Cafe
Description
Gateway, a restaurant in Spokane, has had mixed reviews in the past. Some diners feel the fried fish is overpriced and lacking in quality, while others rave about the generous portions and excellent service. The atmosphere, however, has been criticized for smelling like cigarette smoke. Despite the different opinions, many customers agree that Gateway offers a good selection of menu items at reasonable prices, with highlights including delicious meatloaf and homemade pies. Overall, the restaurant has its ups and downs, but it remains a popular choice for many in the area.

The fried fish at this restaurant is overpriced at $13.95 for just one piece. I was disappointed that there were no hush puppies included. The previous owners would never have served just one piece of fish. I have dined here frequently in the past, but I will not be returning after this experience.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic, especially the meatloaf which is absolutely delicious. If you're in the area, make sure to stop by and enjoy a meal here. Don't bother eating in Branson when you can dine at this place instead.
My husband I live in Spokane will gladly tell people this is a terrific place to eat. Prices are very reasonable not too expensive. Food is super good portions. Crispy fries , big plate of salad , menu items a good selection. Homemade pies to die for !
