Recently visited Spirit Lake for the first time and twice went to Breakfast Barn for breakfast. First time was a Sunday brunch and we had to wait. We chose to wait in the bowling alley but didn't have to wait long for our table to be ready. Second visit was a weekday and we were immediately seated. Food was excellent as was the service. Blueberry waffles and pancakes were delicious! You definitely won't go hungry her... View all feedback.
What Marion Steuber doesn't like about Breakfast Barn Formerly Keglers:
Got there a few minutes before 10. Hostess acted like she was annoyed we came in. Waited over an hour for our food. At least four other tables came in after us and got their food, ate and left before we even got our food. I had to go up to the counter to get our own drink refills. Food was average at best. My order was wrong. Son's waffle was burnt. Staff could've cared less. Will never be back. Terrible overall. View all feedback.
Love the breakfast! Large cinnamon rolls are the bomb!
Not tons of breakfast places in spirit lake, but if you're looking for cheap eats with solid food check out this place. Country fried steak with eggs hash browns and toast and a side of biscuits amd gravy and oj was around $14. Service was good with the amount of patrons inside and food came out quick. Would definitely recommend this joint over the diner which always seems to be packed
This is my favorite place to have a sit down breakfast in spirit lake. The staff is always friendly and the food is always good. It is actually attached to the bowling alley. Tried the farmer's skillet and was not disappointed. This place has a lot of regulars for good reason.
Great food alot of food. Big Dog Breakfast was the best ever.
I highly recommend this place! The food is all you want and expect from the best diner in the area. A few things we've learned: the best item on the menu (hands down) is the eggs Benedict with a side of bacon, Sundays are extremely busy, so don't take your kids super hungry (you will not enjoy your time and will disrupt other people's brunch), know that you will have to wait about 30 to 40mins for your food, and you should show up at 12 at the latest. They close at 1pm. We have three young kids and they also live this spot for breakfast. Definitely recommend!
