Description

Roshni restaurant offers a range of experiences that leave diners divided. While some appreciate its warm atmosphere, friendly service, and quality Indian dishes, others express disappointment with inconsistent food quality and service. Dishes like the Lamb Rogan Josh shine alongside flavorful vegetarian options, yet complaints about bland curries and inadequate hygiene surface frequently. The restaurant's charm is often marred by slow service, dated decor, and a mandatory service charge that surprises guests. For those seeking authentic Indian flavors in a cozy setting, Roshni may deliver, but many urge caution due to its unpredictable dining experiences.

Really great food. The lamb biryani was excellent. Make sure you ask for the vegetable curry as a side for it. Also the chicken tikka was super tasty. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Biryani

We arrived a little after 9pm on a Friday night to find the place very quiet. Surprising since the restaurant interior is large, welcoming and well decorated. The food was astonishingly good, deliciously and freshly prepared with beautifully balanced and subtle flavours. Roshni's is a real gem of an Indian restaurant, we will definitely be back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Came here for a curry as a first NCT dad's night out. As a curry house goes it was okay, they have your traditional dishes, I only had a korma, didn't want to wipe out the next day and leave baby with mum. The dish had a lot of sauce but the chicken felt a little rubbery. The peshawari nana was very good though. Starters were around £7-£10 and mains were £11-£14 then there is the rice and bread. The building itself is a little dark as it's almost underground and a little dated. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Amazing from the minute we walked in!! I think they were shocked when we went in at 5:30 on a wet cold night in Staines. Was greeted and promptly sat at table, pompadoms and sides with beer delivered promptly, starters of Onion Baji and Gobi Manchurin were amazing, wife does not like spicy but could not stop eating, the mint sauce with the baji was excellent, a MUST try on the menu. Come to find out that our server was the chef also, he was short staffed to begin with but his attention to detail was very good. Our mains of lamb madras and lamb balti were delicious, the lamb was melt in the mouth tender!!! As dinner progressed help did arrive and was courteous and prompt. Would not hesitate in recommending and if I'm ever back in Staines I will be going back!!! Thank you Roshni for an amazing dinner.
