We reserved several In Urbe apartments for our friends and family during our wedding weekend, and the experience was fantastic. The apartments are recently updated, beautifully maintained, and absolutely spotless—ideal for both families and couples alike. Sonora was incredibly responsive and organized, making the check-in process smooth and stress-free for everyone. Her communication and care really stood out. We’re so grateful to In Urbe for helping make our wedding weekend in Spello feel so comfortable and welcoming. Highly recommend!
My husband and I stayed here June 2nd to June 5th. It was perfect! The unit was clean, well equipped, tastefully decorated and the view was beautiful! The bed was comfortable so we slept well each night. Our hosts Sonora and Walter went out of their way to be helpful. We would highly recommend staying here. We are hoping to return for a longer stay in the future
We had the most incredible stay here! Wow! A wonderfully spacious and SPOTLESSLY clean apartment in historic Spello. All of the charm and quality of a historic building with modern touches and comfort. Everything we could have needed or wanted was provided and again, so so clean. We were taken care of by the host, above and beyond our wants and needs! I would HIGHLY recommend this spacious and wonderful Accomodation. Absolutely wonderful!
I went to In Urbe in Spello with two friends in March 2025 for 7 nts. We shared an apartment that included three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a small dining area, a living space, a kitchen, a rooftop with a table and chairs, as well as an incredible view! One of the highlights for me was waking up to espresso made in a super espresso maker! We spent our evenings sharing about our favorite activities, writing our thoughts in our journals, and planning our next day. Life at In Urbe was lived at a much slower pace, which is something we all needed. Our hostess, Sonora, offered us a cooking class where we learned to make gnocchi from scratch as well as zucchini frittata, a special thin bread, and delicious tiramisu Whenever we had a concern, Sonora was very quick to respond and attend to the need. We had everything we needed to make our meals... plenty of flatware, dishes, There is a great little market down the street, where we shopped for fresh veggies, fruit, cheese, dry goods, dairy products, and more. The town is incredibly quaint, and there are many cute shops and restaurants to explore!! We will be back!! Thank you, Sonora, for being such a welcoming and accommodating host. You are a lovely person, and you run a great business.
I would define it more a small bistró/bar and not a restaurant not only for the reduced choice of dishes but also for the type of service (towel, cutlery etc). the staff is very kind, attentive and friendly, rare of these times. the only hot courses however were two first, cacio and pepper and a slicer to the cheek. both really very good and well cooked. We loved it. Unfortunately the menu did not include any other type of first or second dishes. also the offer of the dessert was limited, but nevertheless satisfactory. great service. The only new is the definition of restaurant, this makes the customer's expectations rise. If I may, I would recommend to change the name in bistró or bar with kitchen, it would be more correct to the type of room and offer. the place is essentially a bar with kitchen where breakfast is served for guests of the apartments in urbe the bar is also quite small and inside has only two or three tables. this does not take away that the staff and food are very good. I recommend it, however, for both aperitif and for lunch or dinner.
