The staff here is very... read more The chicken and jambalaya are perfect, the fish and chips are spot on, the steak salad is fantastic, and the hamburgers never disappoint. The staff here is very friendly and always attentive. Once, we stopped by on a special day and they had a king crab salad that was both enormous and affordable. Overall, we always have a great experience.

Good size, meaty taste, fresh fixes, cushion soft rolls and no-nonsense preparation. Sometimes you just have to have this Barburger experience. Thanks to the previous reviewer for booking. I never knew it was there. Going into small places is just so comforting. Friendly guys run the joint and a warm, umber-earthy ambience. Great lunch for a dad and oldest daughter. Some of the best broasted chicken in Spokane County is being served in the Spangle Saloon. A lot of folks don't know what broasted chicken is, and frankly, I had a limited knowledge of it before my midwestern wife shared her love of the broasted bird to me. My intial thought was that it's some kind of broiled-roasted creation, and not the standard over-fried dry and tasteless pieces that restaurants and grocery stores offer to the masses. Broasted chicken is, essentially, the pressure-fried creation of one Harlan Sanders of Corbin, KY. Yee-up, the one and only Colonel. But not all broasted bird is the same from all the limited numbers of restaurants that serve it. The Spangle Saloon had a reputation for good bird before I tried it. Folks were right... We're heading back there tonight! They're well-known for their broasted chicken and jo jos. The chicken is so delicious that my wife, who rarely orders chicken, always gets it here—I've never seen her choose chicken anywhere else in the 16 years we've been together, except at Spangle Saloon. But if you haven't tried their Saloon Burger yet, you're truly missing out on a fantastic meal!
