What ezz100 dislikes about Coasters:
This is a nice little restaurant with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The menu looked lovely but sadly the food was hit and miss. Some dishes were very good but those served in breadcrumbs were very ‘heavy’ and dry . Overall it was a bit disappointing. View all feedback.

Friendly cosy restaurant with helpful staff and good service. Starter choice was good and food tasty. The main courses were mainly adequate in quality, the sea bream and the bass were a bit dry but otherwise ok. Two of us had the smoked haddock gratin which sadly left a lot to be desired. The smoked haddock had not been skinned and appeared to be mainly the tail end of the fish which resulted in a lot of slimy skin in the gratin surprising to say the least. The topping consisted of a fairly thick layer of breadcrumbs which were only toasted on the very top not what you would expect from a gratin. The sauce contained quite a lot of just cooked potato. These dishes sadly didn't fit in with the rest of our experience

We last ate here in March 2020, just before the pandemic hit. So, we returned with my OH, my nephew, his partner, their 7 week old sproglett and puppy in tow. We were seated in one of the outdoor 'pods ', complete with heating/air conditioning. It was very toasty and a little cosy for us all. We chose the battered fish (IT WAS HUGE! and chips, and I had the fresh crab, samphire salad, chips etc. It was delicious. Nice fresh samphire (not at all 'woody ' as it can be sometimes and delicious fresh crab. Ham, egg and chips was also eaten and enjoyed. The food was delicious, the coffee delicious, the 'pod ' perfect, overall a really lovely lunch. The staff were very accommodating, leaving us 'alone ' for feeding time. Of course we 'll be back!

Booking is essential in summer. Nice little restaurant, with a number of beach huts in what used to be a courtyard. Menu is mainly seafood. Starters of pate, whitebait, and a prawn cocktail . Mains seabass fillet, fish and chips large fish! , and salmon sandwiches you get two a portion generous The food is great, friendly staff service a little slow, but in fairness they were busy with most of the tables sitting down almost together.

Very good lunch, my crab salad was delicious as was my wife's coronation chicken sandwich. Potions are substantial and the chips are perfect, crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside. The only reason for 4* is the price, at £20 for the crab salad there...
