What Cookingmama076 doesn't like about Southwark Cathedral:
I've always enjoyed coffee at the cathedral cafe in the past . A lovely warm refuge on a cold day . However I was rather disappointed on my last visit. 6 quid for heinz 57 variety vegetable soup a slice of bread and small amount of butter. Whilst perfectly acceptable and pleasant food in a not for profit cafe, I'd expect something better for the price charged. Add a hot drink to the meal brings price just shy of £10.... Rejigged and changed furniture but still a peaceful and benign cafe. The previous wooden furniture has gone especially the large long group table(s) that was down the middle. The replacements are a bit utilitarian and some small banquette seats have arrived but more importantly the food and drink is still good value and tasty.
