I must say this is by far the best Indian takeaway in south east one without a doubt. It has been run by the same family for the last thirty years and still going strong. Sometimes the wait is long but it’s worth it. Their food is always juicy bursting with flavours the service is excellent. Never been let down. Highly recommend it, a gem of an establishment. What User doesn't like about Shahi Tandoori:
I had a few takeaways from here and they were always tasteful and worrying! my favourite dish was the bhuna so far, but I slowly make my way through the menu, so stay tuned! the food always comes in a contemporary fashion, although recently my order was lukewarm and she got one of the dishes wrong: I had ordered a sweet dish and delivered her lamb. I was hungry so that I ate it anyway (it is a good thing I am not veg... View all feedback.
I stumbled upon Shahi Tandoori on Grange Road by chance during lockdown and have been ordering takeout from them ever since. I love the quality of their dishes, especially the Persian menu, saag aloo, and perfectly crispy papadums. The staff are always friendly and happy to guide you through the menu, encouraging you to try new dishes. The delivery drivers are also very welcoming. I am so glad I found this hidden gem and wish them the best in navigating through this pandemic. - Sofie
I discovered this hidden gem on the corner of Grange Road. I picked up some food for friends and myself and we were all impressed with the high quality of the dishes. Although there were many options, the chicken jalfrezi stood out as particularly delicious. I would recommend trying it if you are in the area.
I ordered Indian takeout from Shahi Tandoori in Bermondsey-London SE1. The food was incredibly tasty and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this takeaway to my friends and colleagues for delicious Indian cuisine.
Delivery was within 15 minutes! Portion sizes are good. Rice was dried out. Lamb pasanda was mainly an overly sweet gravy, with a just few chunks of tasteless lamb. Sag chicken was ok. Aloo dishes very good. I think they're trying to appeal to a British market by leaving out most of the spices and seasoning that make Indian food so delicious. It was all rather bland. They don't necessarily need to reach for the chilis, but they certainly need to spice up the food.
This is a brilliant Indian takeaway, food is amazingly tasty, brilliant customer service every time I go there, never failed me yet. Great people, great food, reasonably priced. Would recommend everyone to try, you won’t regret it.
