Absolutely Starving - Southwark

Whether in the mood for a full English, a bacon baguette or a tablet, swing by star absolutelyving. the coffees were excellent and the staff was helpful, happy cutting the fat from the speck and cook it crispy so that the perfect bacon baguette. We could not manage cake after such a delicious breakfast, so instead we bought some to have later. they were fab!

The personal is not disturbed to make an effort, they seemed upset to have a bad day. the pastries are located directly in front of the entrance and invite everyone to cough. it is a scandal because the place has great potential.

Great courteous staff and yum sandwich!! They have a cute upstairs sitting for four people simply amazing experience.

Visited here with my boyfriend on the 12th of June, after a busy morning we were looking for something to fill us up. There was a huge selection of pastries and cakes in the window and so we went in to see what they had...to offer. I must add at this point, my partner is a fairly picky eater and so finding somewhere that he will want to eat can be quite challenging. Anyway, there was a variety of foods to choose from, including pasta, chicken, and a build your own wrap' station. I went for the spicy chicken wrap filled with rice, lentils and a greek yoghurt dressing and my partner went for half a chicken with salad and potatoes (as seen in the photo's). The food was absolutely incredible, the chicken was juicy, the salad was fresh and just over all we were super impressed. In addition to this, the staff were really friendly, the lady that served us (Wish i had gotten her name) was really helpful and polite. Loads of room to allow for social distancing, it was properly ventilated to allow for air flow and the tables were clean. My only (and i mean only) gripe would be that they provide plastic cutlery, which is not environmentally friendly. All in all 10/10 and we will definitely be returning.

I’ve been here before and it’s been great so perhaps they are just a bit overstretched at the moment but my food was cold, the staff were unfriendly and there was absolutely no social distancing in place so it felt quite an unsafe place to...eat-in. Probably fine for takeaway.
