Friendly staff, great atmosphere and brilliant live music.
Old school community pub no TV screens bar billiards, warm cosy, plenty of real ales like HSB and Proper London Pride, no fizz here. Well kept too. Two bars and garden. Definitely one to seek out. Lovely friendly service, local banter and dogs welcome.
Just a quick one. But it's a very good traditional pub, with a fine selection of real ales and a lovely little garden. X
Good selection of beer, I had London pride which was well kept and reasonably priced. Good beer garden, great service, will use again, good back street pub not many left I Portsmouth.
This is the main attraction in Portsmouth for me. The Submarine Alliance, the HMS Victory , the Warrior, Mary Rose exhibits and tour guides are very well done. Make sure you get the guide book. Tour guides and all staff are so nice, so accommodating and knowledgeable.
