Excellent customer service and food in Gold Coast. Really like scrambled eggs and shrimps I ordered every week! But I might find the price somewhat different when I checked out today and I asked the waitress why. It is so patient and friendly to explain how its menu is updated recently and they have not yet renewed, but it will soon be fixed. I feel totally understand Cuz price goes up everywhere. Hope they can adapt... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Woka Woka Southport:
The great thing about Woka Woka is their large extensive menu. Though sometimes that’s not always the best thing. There was nothing “wrong” with the food it just wasn’t the best quality. Still a good feed if you’re hungry. The soups were very flavourful and the servings generous. I’m not a big fan of the cornflour sludge sauces typical of Cantonese cooking. I would be interested to go again and try something differen... View all feedback.
Absolutely love this place!! the menu is very extensive, perfect if you cannot decide where to eat – this place has everything! the food comes fast and is delicious:
Extensive menu which makes it hard if you’re indecisive but try the Chow Kuay Teow, it’s amazing. The drinks are good too and reasonably priced, like the lychee crushed ice drink.
Ordered the Sizzling Wagyu Beef Steak $26) which was tender, juicy and cooked as requested, medium rare. Not shown in the picture was also a large bowl of rice and a bowl of sauce that came with it. I thoroughly enjoyed the large pieces of vegetables and prefer it this way than it being cut up small. The waitress was also quite friendly and professional despite seeming to be very short staffed. With the number of customers in the restaurant, which was quite a few, it was understandable that some of the other dishes non-meat) ordered in my group took significantly longer to come out. That is something that can be blamed on Covid which has had its toll on the hospitality industry and I hope more people can be kinder and more understanding when dealing with restaurant staff. Will come back for the wagyu any day.
The quality of the food here is pretty good. The menu is HUGE there is an extensive range of food and drinks so it’s best you come here in a group so everybody can share the different dishes on offer. The prices are reasonable and the serving sizes are quite generous!
