I've tried many sushi trains all over Australia and I can certify that this one is the best one from the cheapest. While you can get everything you want by simply ordering it, the choice of dishes on train is good by itself. I also went for their ramen - chicken broth with noodles and pork - perfect lunch for winter. Sashimi was fresh and properly cut, not to mention that it was almost two times cheaper than in Sydne... What User doesn't like about Sushi Train:
This was a mice sushi train environment with ample food on the train. I found the dishes very australianised and thought it was mostly too sweet and bbq sauce and mayo flavoured. It was a popular spot and busy enough. Staff were friendly and prompt and food was fresh and good quality, just not quite my taste. View all feedback.
The salmon volcano ships were disappointing, as they were missing the mayo topping and were served with cold teriyaki sauce. Even after asking for them to be cooked more, they still weren't prepared properly. This was false advertising. I have been to a franchise in Brisbane that is amazing, and this one had the same ingredients and food, so it's confusing how the quality could be so different.
Sushi Train have noticeably reduced the size of their sushi which is disappointing. You don't get a lot out of 1 plate so you end up spending way more than the typical cost of sushi. You're better off getting sushi elsewhere.
One of our favourite sushi places on the coast. Friendly staff, fresh deliciously made and reasonably priced.
Was at surfers Paradise sushi train was too busy so we ended up in Southport seated straightaway plenty of food on the train didn’t disappoint very friendly staff and would go back when in need of sushi fix
This is the best Sushi train I have ever eaten in. The hot food was hot and the cold food was fresh and beautifully presented. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. Hopefully I will make it back there during my visit to the Gold Coast.
