Panda in the Kitchen - Southport

One of my favorite Singaporean dishes has made a strong appearance in Southport Central. They do an excellent mud crab special and lots of other authentic dishes but do try the chicken

Our friends in Queensland told us that Gold Coast food was dearer than Sydney. This place just dispels that myth. The lunch specials priced between $10-12 were tasty.

Freshly cooked tasty food, polite and friendly staff, and lovely ambience, have eaten here thee time s int he last 6 months and each time really enjoyable.

Food was average. Bak kut teh serving portion was small with a few pieces of measly looking tofu puff and little meat. Left feeling dissatisfied...

This is a good little restaurant. The food is very authentic, the wait staff polite and the ambiance is good. My Singapore Chicken and Rice ($10.00) was the best I've had since Singapore in the early eighties. I'm going to go back and slowly work my way through the extensive menu.
