While many guests rave about the extensive menu, authentic dishes, and generous portions—especially recommending the duck—issues with seating arrangements have marred visits. Some patrons reported cramped tables in undesirable locations, particularly when reservations were made. Although the ambiance is often praised, the service has been described as rushed at times, leaving diners feeling neglected. Despite these downfalls, many are drawn back by the quality of the food and the refined atmosphere, establishing Jasmine Room as a new favorite for casual lunches and special dinners alike.
The food at this restaurant was delicious, but the service could use more improvement.
I have been to this restaurant for both lunch and dinner, and all the yum cha dishes are delicious and reasonably priced. The duck dish is a must-try, and you can also bring your own wine. It is perfect for a casual lunch or a romantic dinner, with a refined dinner menu. The staff are very friendly and helpful with menu choices. The jasmine room has become a new favorite of mine, and I can't wait to go back.
My wife I love the Jasmine Room, great food, convenient good value! Can be a tad noisy, only because it’s so popular! Keep it up
Good food. Great location. Some the best Chinese on the Gold Coast.
We made a booking for dinner on New Year’s Eve. The food was fine; nothing special, nothing terrible. Service was ok, well-intentioned but rushed. The real disappointment was that when we turned up, we were seated at a table that was essentially setup in a corridor, separate to the main restaurant! It looked like it had been setup on our arrival and, for a party of 3, we had a table that was only really big enough for 2. When I pointed this out to the person that seated us, they advised that they were ‘very busy’; well, that’s fine but if you haven’t got a table, why make the booking?! If you’re accepting a booking, the assumption is that there is somewhere reasonable there for someone to sit and dine, not that they’ll be squeezed in in an unreasonable spot. It pretty much ruined the evening; we ended up rushing our meal and leaving, which was a shame. Best avoided.
