Cute location, decent food and coffee, a little crowded. A filming location for Safe Haven years ago. I really appreciated the little upstairs area. Would be a perfect space to hide away for an afternoon during non-peak tourist season. The market selection was pretty minimal and didn 't look like the pictures on Yelp. I was expecting something a bit larger with more items to chose from. Overall a good spot to grab co... View all feedback.
Long time return patron here...28 years and counting (Moore Street Market)! While the food has mostly remained the same (my fave is the Robin O) and still yummy, some things just aren 't the same (in a not so good way). Coffee is not palatable...there 's no envelope you in the aroma of hot, soothing coffee smell when one enters the shop. Staff seemed less than happy to be at work and seemed to be struggling to get things moving. What used to be a warm and inviting environment is now a cold, minimalistic, yet another chain with no personality coffee shop. Missing are the walls worth of signatures and drawings from loyal patrons over the years...now painted over with blue, gray and black paint with little personality. Southport is about coastal CHARM something Moore Street Market had, but Southport Coffee is lacking. Sad to see.

Cute little cafe in downtown Southport. It was really cold inside the store though, blasting AC when it's cold out. I got an iced dirty chai which was yummy and an egg and bacon breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. That wasn't bad, bacon and bagel were a little over cooked but still good. The barista was friendly too, it was a bit of a wait though for our breakfast sandwiches.
The staff were extremely friendly. My husband doesn't like bagels and they were very friendly about swapping it for bread. The courtyard was clean and the furniture social distancing. They do have music on Sunday at noon. I got an iced chai latte that was delicious. The spice was perfect. They have sodas, water, coffee, lemonades, etc. The food is a limited menu but the ingredients seemed fresh in the food we ordered.
First of all, I'm confused by this Yelp listing because I'm pretty sure Moore St. Market is the old name of this place? On Google and when we were there it was called Southport Coffee Co. Kitchen. Anyway, the coffee here is so good, I got a chocolate dirty chai latte, iced. It was probably the best coffee I've ever had. We didn't get any food but lots of people were getting food so I assume it's good. There is seating outside in the front and also in the back and upstairs I believe. Would definitely return next time we are down in OKI.
