I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys trying new experiences! It's something unique and just what Southlake needed. Everything is delicious, and I will definitely be returning! View all feedback.
What Lucas McClure doesn't like about Frescas:
The drinks were really good, snacks were decent, but what was more concerning was we never saw any of the employees wash their hands or wear gloves when handling our food. The young man in the front took my payment (card) and started working on an Elote, without washing his hands. Then he asked for assistance from another young man who was playing on his Nintendo Switch, he started working on my Hot Cheetos with corn... View all feedback.
My husband and I were really excited to see a restaurant like this in the area, however, they have been closed twice during their posted normal business hours. We have ordered 3 times and been happy with the taste of our food and drinks, but have been hesitant to make the drive on several occasions due to worrying we might show up to a closed building.
The food was outstanding, and the service was fantastic! I will certainly return for more!
I've been here twice now. The first time I got takeout and ordered an elote. To my surprise, when I got home, the elote was missing all of the toppings so it was pretty much just a plain ear of corn. I decided to give them another chance and went inside this time but was pretty grossed out by the service. When I walked in, a young teenage guy was taking care of the store. He had his headphones in and pulled them off to take my order. He then proceeded to make my order, without washing his hands, although he handled his phone again during the preparation of my order. The store itself seemed clean but I don't think they are following food safety rules. The young worker was also not wearing a mask which was disturbing since he had his face over several of the agua frescas (that are stored in buckets in a cooler). I really was rooting for this place but won't be returning!
Very disappointing that this is the second time I have came here only for it to be closed even when the business hours say 12-8 Monday-Sunday. I want to be understanding of places being short staffed but this restaurant has multiple social media platforms to at least give customers a heads up. Just extremely unprofessional.
We tried this place last weekend. We got hot cheetos elote, elote in a cup, 2 popsicles, and a churro. The popsicles and churro were very good. I would even say the churro is amazing, but very small for the price. I normally get my churros at la hechizera, they cost the same price but here they were very small. It was almost comical when I saw him bring the little bag from the kitchen. BUT of course the flavor was good. Churros are virtually impossible to mess up anyway. The popsicles were tasty. We got 2 spicy flavors. They weren 't actually spicy, my toddler had some and didn 't flinch at the spice . They were gone in 2 seconds. I would be glad to try the other flavors too but I don 't know that I would be back. It seemed pricey for lack of quality or value. The hot cheetos elote was really all hot cheetos and cheese... so much cheese that the chips get soggy in 5 mins or less. There wasn 't much elote at all and it didn 't taste like an elote, again because it was mostly nacho cheese. The elote in a cup was also disappointing. It was mostly water. We tried draining it at home, and all the flavor left with it. But I 'm an avid elote eater. This isn 't my first elote. So believe me when I say, it had too much water as though it wasn 't drained all the way. I hate when that happens. So we do feel a little cheated since we paid around $30 and the best items were probably $10 of that.
