I had a fantastic weekend getaway at this charming hotel, which is nestled in expansive parkland and just a 15-20 minute walk through beautiful countryside to 3 Cliffs Bay and a fascinating Neolithic archaeological site. I visited for afternoon tea with two other people, and we had to share a three-tier serving tower. I had hoped that each of us would have our own, with a better balance of sandwiches and fewer cakes. The location was fantastic, and the service was good. However, I would rate the experience a 1 out of 5. View all feedback.
Afternoon tea Food drinks: Afterwards noon tea was a pleasant occasion. We both felt that the balance between savoury and sweet was biased towards sweet which was a pity.
We just went for a meal in the restaurant. The location is beautiful, the food was top notch and the service was amazing. Will definitely go back. Service: 5 Location: 5
Magical place to stay. Beautiful hotel and fantastic grounds. Lovely flowers. Peaceful and romantic. Staff are excellent and very attentive. A gem of a place. It is remote no problem if you have a car but there are buses from Penmaen easier walk than getting buses near the Heritage Centre. Delightful place to stay, highly recommend . Rooms: Room 12 is near the kitchen, nice room, lovely front view of the grounds but fan from kitchen is very noisy!!
